What is the backstory on your Derby Name?
I’m only slightly obsessed with mermaids have been since I was a child. I kept playing around with words and just came up with it.
What do you do when your not at practice?
In my former life I was a hair stylist, Now I’m a stay-at-home mom.
Why did you start derby?
My friend asked me to join her for a class. I had NO idea what roller derby even was. Now I just can’t stop. I love it.
Do you have any advice for any women out there sitting on the fence about joining a roller derby league.
